TitleLetter from E H Shepard to Florence Eleanor Shepard
Date30 Jul 1917
Extent1 paper, 1 envelope
DescriptionEHS describes the storms and wet weather they are having. He hopes "the tidy girl" proves to be a success, and asks his wife to not worry if it is more money, he is hoping to get off some sketches which will more than cover the difference. Hughes has gone to town. He thanks his wife again for the Paignton photos; he mentions how Ethel has cut off most of her legs, but says how nice it is to have one of Puss and Baba in the sea. He may be getting another day off to attend a lecture on the 2nd. He writes that it was nice of Mrs E to write and that he has given Serp? his letters back. Ethel wrote the other day, mostly about a picnic near Chislehurst. Lunch is on the way and Garratt is hopefully having some melon sent over. He describes a scene where he stood outside watching moorhens and bullrushes; "it was quite Crantocky".
