TitleLetter from E H Shepard to Florence Eleanor Shepard
Date11 Jul 1917
Extent1 paper, 1 envelope
DescriptionEHS is still having a rest. Yesterday he and Hambly had tea at the Officers Club, and did some shopping. While it sounds luxurious he assures his wife they have earned it after what they have been doing the past month. He has received another nice letter from an old colonel. He mentions again having seen the General who praised him and his battery. Garrett will be back in 2 days time. Hambly, Hughes and co. have all worked splendidly. They also have Charles back, and Morton is still away on a course. He asks his wife to send him a sponge bag as his has disappeared and he has been using a "boche water bottle cover". He received a letter yesterday, also one from Rosemary. He is excited to see the photos Molly took, "complete with donkey". The sergeant has visited them.
