TitleLetter from E H Shepard to Florence Eleanor Shepard
Date15 Aug 1917
Extent3 papers
DescriptionEHS is sending two "appreuves" and is waiting for the ones he has actually chosen. He will be sending one each to Aunt Ellen and Aunt Fanny. He has had a 3 hour trip into town, he describes a woman he saw in a little silk jumper. He will be receiving his medal ribbons in a day or two in a solemn presentation; only the King however can fix the actual cross so he will have to wait for that. Garrett and he and Hambly are going to the presentation; Garrett received the MC a while before EHS. EHS is terrifed in case he does something wrong. He writes that his wifes letters are lovely and "Crantocky"; he imagines how long it would take to get there should he get leave.
