TitleLetter from E H Shepard to Florence Eleanor Shepard
Date17 Aug 1917
Extent2 papers
DescriptionEHS imagines his wife on holiday. The boche have been getting it, and everyone feels cheery and optimistic. He mentions the flying men, doing the most daring things in a gale of wind. The function for receiving his ribbon has been put off. Hambly has to go to hospital; EHS is afraid they won't get him back. He aks if his wife has climbed to the top of Golden Cap yet. His new glasses have arrived. They have collected quite a menagerie: two kittens and "a queer long dog with a watery eye".
