TitleLetter from E H Shepard to Florence Eleanor Shepard
Date4 Aug 1917
Extent1 paper, 1 envelope
Description"3 years today this beastly war started". EHS has been thinking of a bank holiday at Pentowan which was 3 years ago. EHS describes the thick mud and water he has been in; he has clean clothes while Clarke is drying his others. He mentions that his wife will be at Aunt Ellens now where he hopes it will be nice and peaceful and that he has heard from her about the boots. He hadn't seen the paragraph in the Times about M.C. so it's rather nice to have one. He is thrilled to hear that a little drawing is on the way. He asks about Chideock.
