| Description | EHS has just returned from being "decorated"; 8 officers received the MC and about 50 men received DCM's and MM's. Garratt and he got a lift there with the colonel. He spent yesterday afternoon doing a small watercolour sketch, then in the evening he did one of Hughes having his boots tried on. He has received a letter from Pip and a photo of the kiddies; he remarks at how much Mary has grown. Garratt will be giving EHS and Hughes a day off as soon as it can be worked. Hughes wife lives at Westcliffe. |
