TitleLetter from E H Shepard to Florence Eleanor Shepard
Date30 Aug 1917
Extent2 papers
DescriptionEHS is feeling better, after eating nothing and a dose of salts from Hughes. He has written to [Hiffins?]. Garratt has shown them a letter from the colonel saying how pleased he was with their work. He hasn't shown Charles the drawing as he can imagine "Mrs B's horror"; it is awful to contemplate his return. He hasn't heard form Cox re. the accounts. He asks his wife to let him know when she is leaving Chideock. One of the sergeants comes form S. Devon, Salcombe way, just beyond Dartsmouth; his wife runs a house or two, the same as the Crantoch people. He has heard from Hambly who has been sent home for good (malaria) which is a shame as he was is best friend since Ricardo left.
