TitleLetter from E H Shepard to Florence Eleanor Shepard
Date7 Aug 1917
Extent1 paper, 1 envelope
DescriptionEHS wonders if FCS is off to Chideock today. He has been chatting to a fellow from South Devon (Budleigh Salterton) about those parts. He wishes her a happy time away with the kiddies and urges her to "get fat + eat as much cream as you can". He mentions a little fair haired girl who goes around selling chocolates every morning; she has "enough cheek for ten", having just shouted at EHS "Chocolates, ducky?" He has received a long letter from Ricardo, his arm has healed but very stiff, he is at a hydro at St. Annes on Sea. EHS has read a "stunning" book by Jerome K. Jerome called "Malvina of Brittany", he got it from Morton.
