DescriptionE H Shepard writes that he is so sorry about Florence's poor throat and he couldn't bear her to be even a tiny bit ill. He writes that his cold is getting along quite well and hasn't been so bad. Shepard says that he and Hughes are in a new little dug out and that its an improvement on the tunnel, or at least it will be when he it is straightened out and he has found a stove. He says that it is good news from Belgium and everyone is feeling very cheerful about it.

Shepard tells Florence that he is so glad that Baba is getting on well and that he must be a pretty bright youngster to do so well with his lessons.

He says that he hopes to get time to do a little sketch of a damaged orchard, with what was once a chateau showing
