TitleLetter from E H Shepard to Florence Eleanor Shepard
Date10 November 1917
Extent2 papers
DescriptionE H Shepard writes that the weather is vile and everything is getting muddier than ever. He writes that his dug out is quite comfy and the days are sliding along nicely. Shepard says that he is so glad that Florence was able to visit Frog and that he was looking well.

Shepard writes that an order has come out that officers who have served for two years continuously at the front are to get six months at home, so there is a chance of him 'getting a good long spell next May'. He writes that when he is feeling most down about it all, he thinks of the time when they were young ladies and it seemed hopeless to think that they could ever be married. He tells Florence 'You just ask God to make it alright'
