DescriptionE H Shepard writes that the last letter he sent to Florence was to say that he was coming here and he is glad that Florence is alright about it, and he was rather dreading that she would feel awful. He writes that where he is now is unlikely to be anything like France. He says that he went right up to the front to look around and he only saw one small shell hole.

He writes that he is so glad to hear that Frog had such a good report, and he is sending him a photograph of the Roman bridge. He asks if he can have the brown fur that Elsie gave to Florence for his coat collar. He includes a sketch of the coat he would like. Shepards says that he had a letter from Neil about Graham's school
