Description | E H Shepard writes to wish Florence and his children a happy New Year.
The following day he writes that he has just been out to the road to tackle some Italian peasants who wandered up in search of household goods. He asks Florence how long the holidays last and says that he still faintly hope that he may get back before the children go back to school. Shepard writes that he boldly put in an application in writing the other day, saying that he wanted to see his children as they were both at boarding school and the holidays are his own chance to see them. However, the form was returned 'regretting that no facilities existed at present' |
