DescriptionE H Shepard writes that he has packed off the other men on various jobs, so he has a little quiet to write to Florence. He writes that his stomach is going to be alright, and he may make a start on a watercolour. Brownhill's dog Nero has 'arrived' by which he means to say that he has come and taken possession of the place. He ends the letter by saying that he has just been rung up on the telephone told to watch an Italian battery shoot and report on it
