TitleLetter from E H Shepard to Florence Eleanor Shepard
Date20 February 1918
Extent1 paper, 1 envelope
DescriptionE H Shepard tells Florence not to worry about any nasty dreams, and he is feeling as cheery as anything and humorous almost. He says that it really was rather entertaining at the Italian battery and he got home to find letter waiting. He writes that it is funny that Norah chose the drawing that they had put aside for her, but it is a pity that Charlie wanted that portrait in such a hurry.

Macgregor, the Major of the battery with whom they travelled here with, rang Shepard and asked him to go down there to dinner and he hears that they have a band playing. Shepard says that their canteen is growing strong and they are able to keep an almost constant supply of beer, and it is like a village pub with singing and a man who used to be a music hall artist and plays any instrument that he can find
