Date13 October 1918
Extent2 papers, 1 envelope
DescriptionE H Shepard writes that they are all sorts of exciting rumours about the Germans asking for an armistice and offering to evacuate Belgium. He says that in a way he hopes that they don't consent to anything 'but just go on pounding till he gives in unconditionally. Shepard says that he had 'put down' 10th October as the end of the war and perhaps he won't be so far out after all. He writes that he has been making programmes for their next concert, and he has enclosed a copy of the programme. He later writes that he has just received official news that it is true about the armistice.
