TitleLetter from E H Shepard to Florence Eleanor Shepard
Date27 Feb 1919
Extent2 papers, 1 envelope
DescriptionEHS has heard he is a Major - Hughes has rung to congratulate me. He's not sure what this will mean when Garratt returns for a few days. The colonel had told him a few weeks ago that he would be stongly recommending him, so EHS had written to Chappells for some crowns and braiding. He laments not getting it sooner, but it would have meant he would have been in France rather than safe in Italy. The court of enquiry continues but he hopes to wrangle out of it in his new rank. He is sorry to hear of Frogs new cold, but he had seemed cheerful in his letter. He mentions it is good about Peters.
