None of the drafts (written in inkand indelible pencil) are in Shepard's handwriting [indicating that he may have helped edit it]. They include: humorous definitions of military jargon; a poem about artillery signallers; an account of the brigade debating society; and an account of Lieutenant Mentor's experiences at Trentino, November 1918. |
