Description | File of poetry, some original and some English translations of mediaeval and early modern French authors. 7 papers are typescript, some with handwritten annotations in black ink; the others are manuscript. None appear to be the work of E. H. Shepard: one poem, celebrating a silver wedding anniversary, is signed "Maude Brougham", one is initialled "M.B.", one is initialled "B.V.H.", and one has an address of "Barnara [sic?] Bingley (Mrs. Vere Hodge) Governor's Camp Bengal India". It is also possible that some of these poems were written or translated by Ethel Shepard, who lived and worked as a missionary in India. |
