DescriptionFrench and English notes contain references to Feuilles Choreographie (1704), Dance Charts in Phillippe c1925, Rameau's choreography, Compans Dictionary (Dictionnaire de Dance); Thoinot Arbeau's "Orchésographie".

There are illustrations/diagrams and floor plans within the detailed dance descriptions, the dances noted are as follows: Cinq pas de bois mouvements [sic]; Passage d'onge Pas; Galliard;
Menuet; Contre Temps; Pastorale; La Volte [sic]; Capriole; Pavanne; Pavane d'Espagne. Most of the notes are in French.

Some notes on the back page are entitled 'For Miss Chapman'. Five loose pages from a book are inserted withing the back of the book, each page is entitled 'Minuets' apart from one which is entitled 'the Sweating Sickness'. A newspaper clipping is also inserted in the back of the book entitled 'State Professor of Dancing' it mentions Prof. Gertrude Bodenweiser and the Bodenweiser Troupe (includes an image).

Phyllis Holt is mentioned in many of the Natural Movement programmes in the Natural Movement Archive.
