Description | Two pieces of paper, one stuck against the other, with a female body falling backwards in the centre of the painting. Her upper body is painted blue, and her lower half is painted cream, set against a partially painted purple background. An annotation beside her lower body reads: 'buff titanium (lascaux)', and an annotation to the right of this reads: 'blue, turquoise blue (Gouache) talens'. A section measuring 145mm wide by 100mm long, has been cut from her body on the first layer of paper, marking the place in which the set will be given a third dimension when made to size. The painting is signed 'Chambers 2001'. |
