DescriptionThe Prospectus, which was renamed as the Calendar from 1908, contained full details of the courses offered by each academic department including timetables and syllabuses. From 1957 it was published under the name of Battersea College of Technology and in 1964 and 1965 a separate Prospectus of Undergraduate courses was published and bound together with the Calendar.
The series is in bound volumes. It is not complete and issues for the academic years 1916-1917;1917-1918 and 1918-1919 have not been found.
There are no lists of current or former students.
Administrative HistoryThe Prospectus was first published when the Polytechnic opened in 1894 but from the academic year of 1908-1909, it was decided to rename it as the Calendar. There was no change in the content however, the only real difference being the title.
From 1906 it was issued in different sections for: the Day Technical College; Domestic Science; Hygiene and Public Health; and Evening and Afternoon Courses and Classes.

During the years 1940-1947 the evening course calendars only were printed annually. There was no change in courses during this period although sectional calendars with the following titles were produced in some years, but not always dated: Domestic Science; Hygiene and Public Health; Day and Evening Courses in Metallurgy and Matriculation and Introductory Courses.

From 1949 all course details were published annually in a single volume. This changed again in 1964 and 1965 when a separate Prospectus of Undergraduate Courses was issued following the achievement of university designate status.
