| Description | Press releases issued by the University's Public Relations Department, which was later known as the Marketing and Communications Office. They were usually produced as single sheets but sometimes on more. Some carried additional 'Background Information' sheets. The subject matter included new staff appointments; the establishment of new academic departments or centres; new courses; the announcement of research grant awards; fundraising, University events etc.
The series is incomplete and there are many gaps, particularly between 1964 and 1979 with no records at all for 1984. |
