| Description | A student magazine which described itself as a weekly newspaper and probably first appeared in the autumn term of 1960. It contained news and views of events at Battersea College of Technology from a student perspective.
The series is incomplete and there are many gaps. Many issues are not dated while others have a numbering system which is often erratic and inaccurate. The last issues of the magazine would appear to have been published in March 1964. It is clear from the front page of The 'Manor Farm Gazette' which was published later in 1964 , (see UA/PN/025) that it incorporated both the 'Stag Hill Observer,' and 'Bat Chat.'
However, the title of Bat Chat was used again in February 1965 when another magazine with this title but a different format appeared. The content was much less and there is no evidence of any further issues. |
