| Description | Annual publication which besides listing forthcoming events and dates in the University calendar also provided corporate information including: names of University High Officers and Heads of Schools or Faculties; the text of the University Charter, Statutes and Ordinances; the membership and terms of reference of University committees; brief details and staff lists for all academic and non-academic departments and units; details of scholarships and prizes and honorary graduates of the University; degree regulations and regulations for the conduct of examinations, boards of examiners, external examining and boards of studies; details of the University's academic dress; academic standards guidelines; financial regulations, fraud policy and procedures, fines for misconduct and traffic regulations; and other University policies and codes of practice.
From 1984 -1996 the Calendar was published as a single volume. Between 1997 and 2005 it was produced in two volumes with the first volume containing the calendar itself; details of High Officers, Heads of Schools; the text of the Charter, Statutes and Ordinances; details of University committees; staff lists and information relating to separate departments and units; details of scholarships and prizes and listings of university honorary graduates. All other information as described above was contained in a second volume.
Exceptionally in 1997 a supplement to Volume 1 was published containing the details relating to University committees. From 2005 the format reverted to that of a single volume but without any staff listings or details of University departments. |
