Description"Lecture Theatres foreground, Library background, Academic Buildings on right" is recorded on the back. Photograph looks down on the lecture theatre block - three of the blocks have roofs on whilst the far left block has not yet and a rectangular central opening is visible inside the outer wall. Immediately below the photographer is another building with felt roof and a smaller square section of pale slatted wood. Some scaffolding is visible to the right of the photographer and on the right hand side of the lecture theare block are some of the academic buildings. These look quite far on in their stage of construction in comparison to the other buildings around it. Behind the lecture theatre block, the library has much of the external building complete and scaffolding around it, with transparent sheeting around the outside of some of it. The windows have not yet been installed. Several louvered vents are visible on the top of the academic buidings. Behind the building construction area is an open grassy space with an incline downwards from left to right. There are trees dotted around the rear of this space (on the left) and in the far background residential houses and trees in the town can be seen.
