DescriptionPhoto taken from muddy ground, looking down towards Senate House, which has its outer structure/ brickwork complete, except for the section with the wide staircase on a lower level. Windows have been installed in this building and many of them are open on the right hand side. On the right of Senate House there are three rows of tall posts with some flooring visible between some of these. On the left of Senate House are other university buildings, the building directly below is largely in Senate House's shadow. On the muddy open space in the foreground, there are many bricks and wooden planks scattered about the ground; on the left, part of an unfinished building shows and on the right hand side of the photo (almost top to bottom) is a large deciduous tree, which casts its shadow out over the muddy open space. In the background, behind Senate House, is a large field space and a small crane is visible between some of the branches of the tree on the right.
