| Description | This was the 13th Gala Performance in aid of the Royal Ballet Benevolent Fund. In the presence of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother and Her Royal Highness the Princess Margaret. The programme included the first performance at the Royal Opera House by the Royal Ballet of Les Deux Pigeons and Veneziana which was first performed at the Royal Opera House on 9th April 1953. |
