All the records prior to 1940 appear to have been written in the same calligrapher's hand, so it is possible that the volume was first created at this time, and then subsequently added to.
The content includes an index to the sports covered, the section for the relevant sport giving the person's name, the year of the award and the type of award made. Two sets of regulations governing the award of colours, dated June 1951 and February 1959, are included at the front of the volume. A loose insert sheet additionally records errors or omissions from the register [1958?]. |
