Dr Rawson maintained contact with "old boys" who were serving in the First World War

Responsible for first student accommodation at Battersea: recommended to the Governors that the building on Clapham Common previously housing the Battersea Polytechnic Girls' School be converted into a hostel for female students. [Douglas (1991), p136]
COMMEMORATIONS AND HONOURS
University of Surrey student accommodation, the Rawson Building, part of the Battersea Court complex on the Stag Hill campus in Guildford, was named after him.
