Description | John Fleming was an antiquarian bookseller who became one of the most important dealers in the US. He began working for A.S.W. Rosenbach in 1925 and climbed through the company, becoming vice-president before Rosenbach's death in 1952. At that time, he continued the business under his own name until his death in 1987. The file contains 5 letters from Fleming, most relating to Lynda Bird Johnson Robb [see EHS/C/16/7] and 2 draft responses from Shepard. |
