| Description | George L Stampa tells E H Shepard that he walked to Fleet Street the previous day and got lost in the crowd for the Lord Mayor's Procession. He says that when he returned home he found the beautiful apples sent by Shepard. Stampa thanks Shepard for the gift and sends his best wishes. He has also included a sketch of himself as a boy eating an apple by the base of a tree, and a sketch of himself now, sitting on the floor surrounded by apples. |
