The typescript gives a brief autobiographical sketch of Shepard's life and career (including his family) up to 1956, including a list of the illustration work he enjoyed most. the complete manuscript appears to be the script for a talk during a private viewing, about his childhood; it is written in Shepard's handwriting in black biro, with corrections, additions, and deletions in pencil and red pencil. The two fragments discuss the roles Graham Shepard and Norah Carroll Shepard played in the publication of the work. |
