| Physical Description | The format of the scrapbook has been changed in order to store the materials in an archivally safe way. It was originally in A2 size ring binders containing individual sheets, many encased in plastic wallets. An archival box replaces the ring binder and archival polyester pockets replace the plastic wallets. As far as possible, the original order and placing has been kept, but there are some exceptions. The sheets have been separated into archival folders; this is solely to aid researcher use and the scrapbook was not originally separated in this way. Some oversize papers have been trimmed, and one sheet, containing articles "Die Tanzkunst in Deutschland" and "Das Tanztheater", has been removed to the NRCD's oversize plan chest, referenced N(L)/1. A photocopy of the articles replaces the originals in this box.
Most of the original plastic wallets contained scraps of paper with a number, which generally, but not always, corresponded to the sheet number order. The scraps of paper have been removed and the number written in pencil on the top left hand corner of the sheet. Additional notes about the materials have been kept in their original placements. Photocopies have been made of deteriorating newspaper cuttings and placed at the top of the box; the originals remain in their places.
Some items are glued or contain adhesive tape.
