The file also contains a programme entitled 'Dances of History' for performances of these historical dances by Madge Atkinson and her Pupils at the Houldsworth Hall on 22 November 1922. The programme states that 'all these dances have been revived by Miss Madge Atkinson ...from old dance charts in the British Museum and notes from "Orchésographie" the oldest book on dancing written by a French monk in the fourteenth century'.
