| Description | Photographs in a black photograph album of Madge Atkinson and her family mainly at the house called Woodlands in Ruthin, Wales. This was probably a holiday home. There are photographs of the house and the grounds, of Madge, of J H Atkinson dressed in character as one of the parts he played, of Madge acting in scenes, (such as The 'Mousetrap'), or dancing in the garden; also some photographs of Madge's grandmother and some on the beach. Half the album is empty, many of the pages are annotated.
Also some loose material some of which are loose pages from an album, including: a Christmas card from Marie Taglioni that belonged to an old pupil of Heyworth and Atkinsons', more photographs of Woodlands and of Madge and her father in costume; older photographs (pre 1983) of Madge's mother [and father], and other relatives. Some of these photographs are faded. |
