NM/F/4/4/2m-2o; NM/F/4/4/2r: Five photographs of Madge Atkinson and Anita Heyworth One of these photographs has been annotated "Woody Bay, August 1925" and it would appear from the costumes that three of the un-annotated photographs were also taken at Woody Bay; One of these images, NM/F/4/4/2m, was used in an article, entitled "Blending Nature & Art in "Natural Dancing", in The Ballroom, December 1926 and the photograph was entitled "Study by a sea pool", the two figures are identified as Madge Atkinson and Anita Heyworth. This article is in the scrapbook, Madge Atkinson, 1925-1970, referenced, NM/M/3; note that NM/F/4/4/2n contains one small photograph and one larger photograph, (105mm x 180mm), of the same image; NM/F/4/4/2r is a large format photograph, (105mm x 180mm), showing Anita Heyworth only
NM/F/4/4/2p: Photographs of varying sizes, some duplicate images and a set of three photographs that have been mounted on card. The dancers are posing in pairs or alone in short tunics, on the rocks with the waves crashing and cliffs surrounding them in some of the shots. NM/F/4/4/2p: set of 3 of the photographs mounted on card annotated "The Devonshire Coast Miss Madge Atkinson and pupil", (3 x 95mm x 155mm (mounted prints) portrait); the top photograph of the mounted set has two duplicate photographs measuring, 65mm x 110mm and 105mm x 160mm, the smaller of these duplicates is annotated "Woody Bay Aug 1925"; the second photograph of the mounted set of a single dancer has one duplicate measuring 65mm x 110mm and one duplicate measuring 105mm x 160mm.
