Description | Described by Anita Heyworth in her list of memorable dances as 'A demi-character group for 5 dancers' La Vida Breve, as it is referred to in most of the programmes, first appears in approximately 1930 when it was performed by students of Madge Atkinson at un unknown venue. The latest date it appears in the programmes is 17 December 1937 at a Studio Evening where it is referred to as De Falla. The music used for this dance was composed by Manuel de Falla and is in the archive (NM/T/1/4/11). The costume consists of five colourful floor length dresses and five 'all-in-alls'. |
