Administrative HistoryThe Act received royal assent on the 3rd August 1966 and transferred the assets and liabilities of Battersea College of Technology to the University of Surrey. The original intention for taking over the property of the College was to authorise an agreement with the College's Governing Body by the provision of certain clauses within the Charter. An Act of Parliament, however, was considered more appropriate.
