DescriptionBound notebook, 1892-1894, and volume containing manuscript entries of committee minutes signed by the chairman, 1894-1918.
Administrative HistoryThe Committee was appointed in 1892 by the Governing Body who resolved that it should consist of the whole of the Governing Body and 'that it should have the power to transact all such business as may now be transacted by the Governing Body except the business specified in clause 21 of the scheme for the management of the Institute and that all things done by the Committee save as aforesaid shall be of the same force and effect as if done by the Governing Body.'

It met irregularly throughout the life of the Polytechnic and the subjects dealt with were extremely varied ranging from the appointment of the Principal, (7 April 1893) to the ordering of headed notepaper, (24 October 1892). No separate records survive beyond 1918 although the Committee's activities continued to be reported in the records of the Governing Body.
