Description | Outside view of the construction of Block A - most of the outer framework/ structure of the building is there: pillars, girders and some outer panels visible. There is a lower, single storey section which juts out from the main block, inside the L shaped section of the block. The base of a crane is visible on the left in front of this, with large blocks on the platform (some of which have 905 written on the end). Two long ladders are propped against the lower section, the one on the left is lower than the one on the right which juts above the roof height. In the foreground before the block are two pieces of machinery. One, central, is a small LONGLEY tractor (registration 925 0BP) with a trailer attached; and the other, on the left of the picture and standing in front of a ditch/ hole, has an attachement to be drawn by a vehicle, is shaped like a short triangular prism with top cut away (and flat roof instead), and a door/ flap which is open to reveal coiled wire coming from inside. On the panel facing the photographer, is a rectangular grill - above the grill is a small symbol of a tudor style close helmet from a suit of armour and below is the number 26. Scaffolding is erected on the right hand side of Block A. Cardboard mounted photograph |
