| Description | Photo looks out from a height onto various university buildings at differing stages of development. On the left in the foreground is the corner of a building which has most of the outer structure complete, with windows installed and a low level of scaffolding around part of it. It has a black pipe protruding from the left hand side, into the photo and there are planks of wood stacked against the scaffolding. On the right in the foreground is a narrow ditch with a low wall in it, the other side of which are large stacks of bricks. Further into the centre, on the right on a raised level are two buildings which have at least one level constructed, scaffolding around them and men working atop them. In the centre foreground is an open, muddy space which has a large mound of sand/ earth in; to the left of this are stacks of packets with a material cover over half of them, to the right is an upended wheelbarrow and in front of it is a site worker and four oil drums. On the top right of the open space are two large trucks with bricks stacked up on them (labelled LONDON BRICK COMPANY LIMITED). Just behind the open space is a building with two levels - the upper level has an oblong/ rectangular section left out to expose a lower balcony area which has no paving surface yet. A ladder is propped against the roof from this balcony level. On the right and slightly behind this building is another with its lower level under construction - this building is filled with stacks of bricks and has six workers dotted inside. Behind this again on the right are two further buildings under construction and a road is visible with three cars parked on it. The tops of some temporary huts are visible also. Behind the road is an open muddy space with more huts, a tall bare branched tree and other smaller trees. In the background, residential areas, fields and trees are visible. A crane arm reaches up into the sky near the right of the photo background. |
