Description | "Piling for one of the Phase II buildings. The tall vertical column hanging from the crane is the shaft of the pile drill: the men in front of the concrete lorry are preparing to cast an adjacent pile." is recorded on the back. Largely open muddy space. Ground is uneven and concrete lorry is situated up on a slight bank. Slim coil of tubing (rubber?) visible looping down the bank away from the lorry and people. Lorry has 'Premix' written on concrete compartment and appears to have a licence plate with some of the number showing: LRX 599 ? Three of the men are gathered in a vague triangular formation around a circular concrete block. Another man is bent over, facing away from the camera, just to the right of the group of three men. Another man is further away on the right, with one arm raised and facing the pile drill shaft. A white wooden hut is partly visible behind the concrete lorry. Cardboard mounted photograph. |
