DescriptionPhoto taken ouside at ground level looking towards the north end of Senate House. The outer structure is largely complete and almost all windows on the upper six levels have been installed, except three. The window frames are in on the very lowest level, facing the photographer, though the glass has not been put in and they are covered in plastic sheeting. There is a gap below the sixth from top level which has been left open except for the concrete supporting pillars and some metal bars which cross the open gap. On the second/ right hand one of these sections on the north facing wall, a large piece of dark material has been hung between two of the outer posts. On the right of this, a tall scaffolding tower rises up the right hand side of the building and reaches above it. On the right of the building, a crane, some trees and part of the end of Guildford Cathedral are visible. On the left of Senate House, there is a road which runs slightly downhill to the left of where the photographer is. Two site workers are walking down this road. On the other side of the road is another building under construction and behind this is a raised area of muddy land which has some tall deciduous trees in and further back still, some white wooden temporary huts/ cabins. In the foreground, a short black, mud splattered wall curves round from the road side, in front of where the photographer stands. Inside it, in the space before Senate House, are many piles of bricks and other construction materials.
