| Description | Photo taken from ground level looking uphill at various university buildings under construction. In the foreground on the left are some building foundations quite deep down into the ground and rising up to a level which has a concrete floor above various metal supporting structures and in front of which is a large pile of earth/ bricks/ scraps. To the left of the foundations are some steps which travel under some scaffolding supports. On top of the concrete level of this building are many stacks of bricks, separated into two distinct areas - the left hand piles of bricks are pale and even colour whereas the right hand piles are darker and mottled. Behind this building is another further along in its stage of construction, with two levels of window holes visible and scaffolding up around the outside. On the right of this is a road which runs from the foreground on the right, uphill diagonally, towards the buildings in the background. Parked on the right of the road, in the centre, is a boom crane (with RICHARDS & WALLINGTON printed on the side), its arm extended to the left across the road and over one of the buildings. A man stands under the crane arm, atop the scaffolding of the central building. In the background, a tower crane rises above more university buildings and on the left hand side Guildford Cathedral can be seen with some tall trees in front, poking above the level of the buildings.
