| Description | Organised by Susan Crow, the Ballet into the Twenty First Century choreographic course, Single Steps, was for graduating ballet students from professional schools. The course took place 5-7 August 1996 at the Royal Festival Hall (London), as part of Blitz '96. The file contains correspondence with and brief biographies of the choreographers invited to give 'guided viewings' to course participants and the general public. Michael Corder and Jonathan Burrows gave guiding viewings on 5 August; Matthew Hawkins and Kate Flatt on 6 August. (They discussed dance works that had made an impression on them, showing video extracts.) |
