DescriptionA small red pocket diary with 4 inserts, including 2 scale cards, a small black and white photograph of a man sitting in a chair, and a folded piece of squared paper with a handwritten list in pencil. Title page states it is a 'Walkers Back-Loop Memorandum Book'. Daily entries written in pencil, ink and crayon, include notes relating to periods abroad with the army documenting 'new positions', weather conditions and court martials. As well as times spent at home regarding dinner appointments, the 'Dentist' and 'To Punch office & home'. Entry for Wednesday 4th December written in gold ink, 'Ernest M. Hemingway' and an address in Illinois, Chicago.
