The dance is not mentioned as Breton alone in any of the theatre programmes, although Breton Boureé does appear in the music scores and Boureé was described as a historical dance and 'Breton peasant dances of the sixteenth century.' Boureé was first performed c1918.
The costume consists of boys and girls costume although it was all probably worn by females. |
