Description"Site of the formal entrance square. The building is Senate House and academic Block A is just out of the picture on the right. The wall in the foreground conceals a water tank: the building in front of the catherdral is the staff restaurant/ boiler house building." is the description on the back of the photo. Senate House has most of the windows complete on the upper floors though the lower two remain unfinished. Scaffolding surrounds the lower part of Senate House and also goes up the right hand side of it. On the left of the wall in the foreground, two workers can be seen, one close to the photographer without hard hat and another walking further up the mud track, the latter wearing a hard hat. At the end of the road/ mud track there is a bank and above the bank are some trees and electricity cables. Cardboard mounted photograph.
