DescriptionOutside view of the construction of Senate House, taken up on the muddy track/ road, looking downhill slightly. The outer framework and structure of the building is largely complete with most windows in on the upper six levels. Scaffolding is up around two thirds of the smaller, protruding section of the building and the large staircase is visible behind this. There is also scaffolding on the lower left hand side of the building where two men are working, one bricklaying. A small tent like structure and two cement mixers are visible on the right and in front of these are some piles of materials with covers draped over them. On the road, in the foreground is a large pile of wooden sheets/ planks of various sizes. Behind Senate House is a row of posts and cables, further back is a stretch of open space and behind this is a row of houses, with tall thin conifer style trees poking above the roofs. On the left of Senate House is another couple of buildings, both quite far on in the stage of construction. Two workers are walking into the nearest of these. The louvered structures at the tops of the service ducts on the furthest building are visible.
