DescriptionIn the photo foreground is part of the lake. The edge of the grassy area with a small ridge of pebbles is visible in the bottom of the photo and the reflection of part of Guildford Cathedral, Senate House and some more university buildings is visible in the water. A small incline of grassy land leads up to the main construction area; on the left behind the lake, is a raised bank which leads to an area of flat, levelled land - this area is enclosed by a concrete post/ wire fence and contained within it are many white temporary huts/ cabins, facing roughly the same direction as Senate House, which is just on the right of it. In the central background area, there are more university buildings (some of which have some scaffolding up around/ against them). In between this collection of buildings and the lake, is a short row of trees. Cutting through this row of trees is a ditch with a pipe that joins the edge of the lake at a small concrete surround. The pipe runs downhill and the banks either side of it, when it is nearest the lake, are barer with more muddy ground than grassy showing. On the right of the photo is a large field area with a hill covered in trees near the far back. There is a large, white hut on the left of this section, before a row of white wooden temporary huts and a row of power cables and posts. On the left, in the background and on higher ground, part of Guildford Cathedral is showing.
